Official translations for the regularisation process in Spain
Sort out international paperwork or expand your client base in other countries with professional translations
At MDP Translations, you will receive a customised service that only a freelance translator can give you in a variety of specialty fields and languages, as you would with a translation agency. Do you need help communicating in another language?
Communicate in
other languages as if
they were your own
Let’s say you need to solve some paperwork in another country and they have requested a certified or sworn translation signed by an official translator.
You only have a few days to find someone who offers this service and you don’t know where to start! You also don’t know how to verify that the translator meets the requirements so that your translation is accepted without delaying the process.
Let us guide you every step of the way. We will explain how it works and make sure that everything is right.
You might be here because you’re looking for someone to carry out a translation for your company:
- A leaflet to market a new medical device.
- A contract for a client.
- Or your company’s website.
The thing is that you might need to translate it into several languages. With translation agencies, you will only speak to intermediaries who may not answer all your questions, and with freelance translators you may not cover all the languages you need.
Luckily, MDP Translations stands in the middle.
This way you will receive translations in the languages you need without giving up on individual advice during the entire process.
SPEED
Receive your free quote in 1 hour during business hours. You will receive your certified digital translation as soon as its ready and the hard copy within 24 hours, if you’re in Spain.
SUPPORT
Feeling stressed and insecure when you face an unknown is normal. But don’t worry, I will answer any questions you may have.
SUCCESS
With a certified translation, or sworn translation, you will certify its authenticity and accuracy. This will prevent any misunderstandings and avoid potential issues.

How do you prepare a quote?
When preparing a quote I consider the following factors:
- The number of words or pages of your text.
- The language combination (source and target language) of your translation.
- The requested specialisation.
- The format you send the document in and the format you wish to receive.
- And the deadline.
What is a certified translation (also known as sworn translation)?
A certified or sworn translation is a translation carried out by a sworn translator appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This translation must be signed and stamped to be recognised by national and international bodies.
How to I request a translation?
- Send me your document so that I can prepare a quote.
- If you accept the quote, we can then agree on a deadline and you can proceed to pay the invoice.
- Either myself or a professional from my team (this depends on the language and specialisation you need) will translate your document.
- Lastly, I will send you the translated document.
When can I expect my certified translation?
This depends on when you send me the document you need to translate and on the translator’s availability. Generally, I can send you the translation the next day if it is a 1- or 2-page document, and if you contact me on working days during business hours. If you need a hard copy of your translation, we have to allow time for the courier service to deliver your documents. If you are located in Spain, the estimated time is 24 hours. If you only need your translation as a digital file (not printable), I will send it to your email address as soon as its ready.
What happens if my original document is confidential?
If I provided a translated document, can you sign it so that it is certified?
Sworn translators can only sign and stamp their own translations. Therefore, I cannot certify translations provided by third parties.
How can I check if your or your collaborators are appointed as sworn translators by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs?
You can check the official list of sworn translators and interpreters using the Ministry’s search tool. Write the name (“Nombre”) and the surnames (“Apellidos”) in the search fields and click “Buscar”./a>
Do you provide an Apostille service for your certified translations?
I do not provide and Apostille service. Before you request a translation, you need to make sure that your documents are apostilled correctly with The Hague Apostille. Here is a link to information on the Apostille (for Spain). If your document is from another country, please ask the body or institution that issued the document.
How much do I have to pay for an additional copy of a certified translation?
Each additional copy is 40% of the price of the original certified translation.
