Your point of contact between languages and cultures

Professional translations that help you with your international paperwork and open up business opportunities in other markets.

Paperwork with Public Administrations can be stressful and complex. If you add another language to the mix, it can be even more confusing and taxing.

  • You may have never needed a translation before and you are not familiar with the process.
  • Maybe you are faced with formalities in another language and cannot check if everything is ok.
  • Also, Public Administration offer short deadlines, so mistakes need to be avoided to prevent the delay of the whole process.

This is why you need clear answers, information on how to verify that someone is a certified translator (or sworn translator) and, all in all, a simple process.

The same happens if you are looking to internationalise your business: you need help throughout the process to make it easier.

And that is the goal of MDP Translations.

Big translation agencies have large amounts of work every day, which might make it difficult for them to answer all your questions. You would probably speak to a different person each time. However, a freelance translator may not cover the variety of languages you need.

Here at MDP Translations we stand in the middle, offering:

  • The approachable disposition of a small company.
  • Direct communication.
  • And a wide variety of languages.

Do you need help communicating in another language?

A translation is a process that can be life-changing

My name is Melanie Jane Delgado Phillips and I am half Spanish, half British.

Although I have officially been a translator since 2012, I have spent all my life translating for my relatives on both sides of the family. My grandmothers are still unable to communicate effectively and they still count on me as their official translator, just like when I was a child!

I suppose I have always been a translator, but I was only aware of it when a secondary school teacher brought it to my attention. In fact, she told me there was a degree in Translation and Interpreting, and I decided to pursue this career path.

Now, besides being my job it is also my vocation.

Every time I “hit the keys” and start translating I feel like I am helping someone achieve something, regardless of the specialty field. Someone might just see it as a formality, but I see it as a potentially life-changing process.

Translation will always be the means to achieve a goal.

MDP Translations is a network of freelance translators that work to provide you an extensive service

I have connected with translators in my area and other parts of the world through social media and in person. This way, I can provide you with a wide variety of translation languages and specialty areas without having to pay extra for intermediaries, which tends to happen with large agencies. I also make sure that my fellow translators are paid fairly for their job.

You will always be able to:

  • Speak to me throughout the entire process.
  • Ask questions about your translation.
  • Check that myself and the professionals I work with are official certified translators (aka official sworn translators).

You can also choose to receive your certified translation as a hard copy, a digital copy or both, depending on your needs and deadline.
